HUSK is proud to announce completion of its latest housing scheme in Jedburgh, marking another significant step in our mission to bring sustainable, high-quality homes to communities. 

Seven brand-new bungalows, delivered in partnership with the Scottish Borders Housing Association (SBHA) have been built using HUSK’s innovative, patented method of converting redundant garage blocks into modern, energy-efficient homes, the scheme showcases how underused urban spaces can be transformed into vibrant places to live.

Seeing a project reach completion is always rewarding, and this development is no exception. Our teams, alongside SBHA have worked collaboratively to ensure each home meets the needs of local residents while contributing to goals of warmer, healthier homes.  

The momentum doesn’t stop in Jedburgh. Just a short distance away in Hawick, six additional homes were completed recently, continuing our commitment to providing much-needed housing in partnership with local councils and housing associations. Together, we’re helping to tackle the housing crisis by unlocking land that was once considered unusable.

Our work with SBHA has also attracted positive media attention, highlighting how innovative solutions like garage conversions can make a real difference. Coverage in the national press has shone a spotlight on the potential of this approach to deliver high-quality, affordable, and sustainable homes across the country.
